Storm Assessment Team

After hail or high wind, our team inspects your roof and property, documents every bit of damage, and gives you a written report with clear next steps, before you call anyone else.

What a storm assessment covers

Storm damage is easy to miss from the ground and easy to argue about later. A full assessment gives you the facts first.

Full roof inspection

On the roof, slope by slope, checking the roof covering, flashing, vents and every penetration.

The whole property

Gutters, siding, windows, screens, HVAC units and outbuildings, the places storm damage also shows up.

Photo documentation

Every finding photographed and marked, so you, your adjuster and anyone else can see exactly what we saw.

Storm date check

We confirm the storm events reported near your address, so your report shows when the damage likely happened.

A written report

What we found, what it means and what we'd recommend, in plain language you can keep.

Honest next steps

A repair, a new roof system, or nothing at all. If your roof is fine, we'll tell you.

Flat and low-slope roofs: documentation that holds up

On a flat roof most storm damage hides in or under the membrane, so a walk across the top isn't enough. For TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and built-up roofs, our assessment adds specialized testing and documentation.

Infrared thermal imaging

Wet insulation holds heat differently, so a thermal scan shows where water has got in under the membrane.

Moisture survey

Readings taken on a grid across the roof confirm and map the wet areas the thermal scan points to.

Core cuts and test squares

Small, repaired samples that show fractured reinforcement, crushed insulation and wet layers underneath.

Seams, flashing and drains

Close inspection of the places flat roofs fail first: seams, perimeter flashing, curbs, penetrations and drains.

Drone mapping

An aerial layout of the whole roof, with every finding, core and photo marked where it was taken.

A moisture map in your report

A roof plan showing exactly where the damage is, so your adjuster, engineer or anyone else can follow it.

Night inspections

On a white flat roof in daylight, hail hits can wash out. After dark, our team sweeps the membrane with a flashlight held low and almost flat to the surface. The light rakes across the roof and every dent throws a shadow, so impacts you'd walk past at noon show up clearly.

Claim case study

How one owner went from $1.94M to $4.03M+

A real commercial hail claim in Southern Illinois. The carrier approved part of the roof and said three of six flat roof sections had "no damage." The owner brought in our team about fourteen months after the storm. With test cuts, an independent engineer and meteorologist, and a joint reinspection with the carrier's own consultant, all three denied sections were added and the approved recovery more than doubled.

$4.03M+approved now, up from $1.94M
3 of 6denied flat roof sections overturned
$3.50Mpaid to date across three checks

What the owner had to do: sign, show up once, answer questions, cash the checks.

Sample inspection report

434 hail impacts, documented roof to ground

This is what our documentation looks like. At a metal-roofed warehouse in Normal, Illinois, our team marked and photographed every hail impact we found across the roof, the turbine vents and the west wall. Each photo is numbered, pinned to its GPS location on a map and tied to a time in the inspection video, then matched to the National Weather Service and HailTrace records for the storm.
